October 4th to 18th 2009
This trip organized by Biosphere-Expeditions had the primary aim of finding ways of easing the relationship between villagers and the threat of predators (mainly Lions and Hyenas) upon their livestock.
The team of volunteers spent time with questionnaires in the villages and monitoring predators in the area. One aim was to fix radio collars to the animals so that their presence could be mapped and villagers warned.
The following photos are a brief record of some of the activities, with additional photos of birds and animals seen.
To view any thumbnail shots in more detail click as shown ie HERE
AND when in Flikr again click on a thumbnail
Note: The thumbnail shots being square chop off part of the photo so clicking reveals the whole picture.
You may then see a title, enlarge (press 'detail view', copy or even view as a slideshow.
To return to this page afterwards press the blue 'back arrow ' in the Flickr window (top left) until you arrive back here.
The best place to see photos of the expedition is by going onto the Biosphere-expeditions web site but here are a few of my general ones.
